2014 FINAL LEG
Special Olympics Canada National Summer Games

On July 4 2014, Law Enforcement Officers representing all Canadian Provinces and Territories gathered in Vancouver, British Columbia where they started their 4 day journey carrying the Flame of Hope to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2014 Canada Special Olympics National Summer Games.
Joined by dozens of local law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes, the Final Leg wound its way through dozens of communities, speaking at ceremonies and events, raising awareness of Special Olympics and the Games.
The Final Leg culminated on July 8 with the Flame being brought into Thunderbird Arena, at the beautiful University of British Columbia Campus to the roar of thousands of athletes, coaches and spectators. The cauldron was lit, and the Games began!!
